Fleet Registrations
Gwinnett County businesses with more than five fleet transactions must come to DMF for service. |
Below is a list of items required to title and register a vehicle in the name of a business or fleet:
New Vehicle Purchase
- Vehicle's original Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) properly assigned over to the new owners (copies not accepted)
- Completed MV-1 Title Application
- Completed truck section of the MV-1 Application for trucks with a gross vehicle weight over 14,000 lbs, if applicable
- Valid Georgia Insurance
- Copy of the bill of sale
- Original completed form T-19C (Affidavit of Authority to Sign for a Company, Corporation or Partnership)
- Valid Georgia driver's license or ID card of the person on the T-19C authorized to sign for the company
- IRS Form 2290 – required for vehicles weighing 55,000 lbs or more (More information on the heavy road use tax)
Used Vehicle Purchase
- Vehicle’s original valid title properly assigned over to the new owners (copies not accepted)
- Completed MV-1 Title Application
- Completed truck section of the MV-1 Application for trucks with a gross vehicle weight over 14,000 lbs, if applicable
- Valid Georgia Insurance
- Copy of the bill of sale
- Current Georgia Emissions Control Certificate, if applicable
- Original completed form T-19C (Affidavit of Authority to Sign for a Company, Corporation or Partnership)
- Valid Georgia driver's license or ID card of the person on the T-19C authorized to sign for the company
- IRS Form 2290 – required for vehicles weighing 55,000 lbs or more
