The registered owner of the vehicle must submit the change of address request. Notify us within 30 days of establishing residency in one of the following ways.
If you moved within Gwinnett County:
Online
Visit the Georgia DOR's Online Service Center and select 'Change Address' under Featured Services. You must include a copy of your valid Georgia driver's license or Georgia ID.
By Email
Email tag@gwinnettcounty.com and include the tag number, new address and attach a copy of the registered owner's Georgia driver's license or Georgia ID.
By Phone
Call us at 770-822-8818 during business hours with the tag number(s) and new address.
By Mail
Mail the change of address request to Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner’s Office, P O Box 829, Lawrenceville, GA, 30046. Include the tag number(s), new address and a copy of the registered owner's Georgia driver's license or Georgia ID.
By Fax
Fax the change-of-address request to 678-377-4330 with the tag number(s), new address and a copy of the registered owner's Georgia driver's license or Georgia ID.
In Person
Bring a valid Georgia driver's license or Georgia ID card to a Gwinnett County tag office.
If you moved from another Georgia county to Gwinnett:
Online
Visit the Georgia DOR's Online Service Center and select 'Change Address.' You must include a copy of your valid Georgia driver's license or ID card and proof of residency.
By Email, Mail or Fax
Submit a change of address form with proof of residency.
In Person
Bring your tag number(s), a valid Georgia DL or Georgia ID card and proof of residency to a Gwinnett County tag office.
A change of address form is also available at any tag office. A copy of the registered owner’s Georgia DL must be submitted with the form along with one of the approved proof of residency documents.
